Wired Access Services

We provide wired network services to the staff and students of our university by the Department of Information Technologies. Network infrastructure is collected in our central system room. To this system room, the buildings on campus are connected to the backbone switch via fiber connection. Our back ends are connected to our central campus with metro ethernet at various speeds.  Our output speed to the Ulaknet backbone is 1250mbps (1.25gbps) together with the back ends. 

The wired and wireless internet traffic used on our campuses is monitored by network security software and records are kept in accordance with the IT Law No. 5651. The legal responsibility that may arise in this context belongs to the users themselves.  

How to Connect:

Aksaray University cable broadcast uses the identity check method. After connecting to this broadcast, when you type an address starting with www in your internet browser, the username and password screen (internet access screen) appears. Academic and Administrative staff can access the internet by entering their e-mail address with the extension @aksaray.edu.tr and students by entering their e-mail address with the extension @asu.edu.tr.

• If you do not remember your e-mail address and password, you can learn it with the password process link on the internet access screen. Or you can use the address https://kimlik.aksaray.edu.tr/sifremiunuttum.aspx.

• Designing and installing the network infrastructure required for camera and card access systems.
• Documenting and maintaining the current configuration information of all our manageable switches that distribute the internet, and updating the configurations according to changes in the network structure.
• To ensure that the campus network topology is extracted.

Our Goals

• Continuously updating our network and systems by following new technological developments.
• Renewing the switches used at the endpoints with L3 switches to meet the needs,
• To expand our wireless network on our campuses.
• To ensure that research is carried out on adding innovations to the existing infrastructure by following new technologies.
